Shepherd's Corner What do you believe?
Whatever you believe is evident in your life. Let me expound. People hold many beliefs about life which are formed by past experiences and seeds planted by other people which often controls thought process and our lives. Make no mistake, we are ultimately governed by the core beliefs we hold. We act in accordance to what we truly believe, not just what we say we believe. If we believe God wants us poor, or our circumstance will never get any better, life proves that for us. If we truly believe God wants us blessed, life proves this to us as well. I believe God wants us to prosper and prosperity is for every believer. As we grow spiritually and in his word, you will know with a certainty that God will make provision for everything we need.
As we examine the scripture, the Bible tells us, "beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 1:2 (NKJV) We must understand prosperity has more to do with your state of mind than what you have in the bank, your purse or wallet. What do you believe? Whatever it is, it just might be the very thing that is keeping you from receiving the blessings of God. The Israelites believed they were grasshoppers in the sight of the giants and therefore never seized the Promised Land. We must not get short sighted by what we see, our present state and guess about what the future holds for us. God will deliver on his word and just as he promised, he will bring it to pass. God unequivocally knows your future and has your best interest in mind. Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Remember your future prosperity lies in the current confines of your mind. Trust, believe and have faith in God and receive everything he has for you.
